FRDM+ is a live streaming and on-demand platform built by the team behind YouTube creator and race car driver Cleetus McFarland, who owns the Freedom Factory racetrack in the United States. The platform is designed for racing creators and their fans, offering live events, pay-per-view productions and a growing catalogue of on-demand content.
Built on the principle of "built by racers, for racers," FRDM+ gives creators the tools to run their own live streamed shows and reach an engaged motorsport community.
What began as a one-off pay-per-view event during the pandemic grew quickly into a dedicated streaming platform. By 2022, the team had launched No Brakes LLC with the goal of building a proper home for the FRDM+ service — one that could handle growing live event demand, support multiple creators and scale as the audience expanded.
The original Shopify-based setup had served its purpose, but as events grew in scale and more creators came on board, the team needed a platform built specifically for the demands of live streaming: one that could deliver consistency, support multiple apps, and adapt quickly as the business evolved.
FRDM+ partnered with Accedo One to rebuild its streaming platform and take the service beyond its Shopify origins. The technology behind Accedo One now forms part of the Leyra OTT platform, which continues to support and evolve the FRDM+ service.
FRDM+ was able to:
FRDM+ moved from a basic Shopify setup to a fully scalable, multi-app streaming service, built on technology that now forms part of Leyra, without disrupting the live events its audience depends on. This gave the team the consistency and reliability needed to support high-demand live streaming at scale.
With the Leyra platform handling the technical complexity, the FRDM+ team could focus on producing high-energy racing events and growing a community of creators and fans around the sport. Live and on-demand content could now be managed in one place, supporting both audience engagement and creator participation.
The switch to Cleeng demonstrated the platform’s flexibility. Moving subscription and user management mid-operation is not without risk, but the Marketplace integration made it a smooth transition, with the new setup already supporting the next stage of growth.
For a small, fast-moving team, that combination of reliability, flexibility and direct support enables FRDM+ to keep scaling without slowing down.
