Leyra brings together the technology, teams and experience behind Accedo One and Magine Pro to deliver an OTT platform that helps streaming operators launch, grow and optimise their services.
By Leyra Team
Today we’re introducing Leyra, a new end-to-end OTT platform built to help streaming services grow.
Leyra brings together the technology, teams and experience behind Accedo One and Magine Pro. It marks the beginning of a new company focused on helping streaming operators grow and evolve their services while delivering better experiences for audiences.
The name is new. The experience behind it is not.
Across both organisations, our teams have spent years working with broadcasters, media companies and operators around the world to build, launch and operate streaming services. With shared Nordic roots and headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, both companies have supported platforms used by millions of viewers and helped operators navigate an industry that is constantly changing. Leyra brings that expertise together in one place.
Launching a streaming service is now only the beginning. Streaming services must continually improve discovery, engagement and retention if they want to build sustainable streaming businesses. Leyra was created with that challenge in mind.
Bringing Accedo One and Magine Pro together
Accedo One and Magine Pro each approached the streaming market from different perspectives.
Accedo One focused on flexibility. Through its marketplace ecosystem, streaming services could combine services and integrations that supported their needs at different stages of growth, from recommendation engines and analytics platforms to push notifications and other engagement tools. This allowed streaming services to expand capabilities, adapt their service and introduce new technologies as their strategy evolved, making it easy to change or replace vendors as their needs changed.
Magine Pro built an end-to-end OTT platform that brought everything operators needed to launch, run and grow a streaming service into one platform. From content management and application delivery to billing, payment and engagement tools, it enabled operators to manage their service and continuously improve performance over time.
Across the industry, platform providers offer varying degrees of end-to-end capability or open ecosystems that allow teams to assemble their own technology stack. As the market evolves, we’ve seen operators increasingly need both. Leyra brings these strengths together.
By combining Magine Pro’s end-to-end platform capabilities with the open ecosystem approach of Accedo One, Leyra provides operators with an end-to-end OTT platform that supports the full lifecycle of a streaming service while remaining flexible enough to grow and adapt.
Built by teams who know streaming
Leyra brings together teams who have spent much of their careers in video and streaming technology, most recently building and operating platforms at Magine Pro and Accedo One.
Across engineering, product and customer teams, our people have worked alongside broadcasters, media companies and operators as they launch, scale and expand their streaming services. From platform launches to migrations, service expansion and day-to-day operations, our teams understand what it takes to run a successful streaming service. That practical experience shapes how we design our technology and how we support customers.
Many of the platforms already running on Magine Pro and Accedo technology are continuing that journey with Leyra. In the weeks since announcing the merger, the Leyra team has already begun bringing the platforms closer together. Several customers have already been successfully migrated, platform integrations are underway, and new customers are already joining the platform.
A new OTT platform designed for growth
Leyra combines the strength of an end-to-end OTT platform with the flexibility of an open ecosystem, giving operators everything they need to build and grow successful streaming services.
Operators can run their streaming service on a single platform that brings together the core capabilities needed to launch and operate a service. Through Leyra’s marketplace ecosystem, teams can extend the platform with additional services and integrations as their needs evolve.
This means operators can rely on a proven platform foundation while still introducing new capabilities as their service grows.
Leyra supports the full lifecycle of a streaming service, helping operators improve how audiences discover content and deepen engagement. User experience plays a central role in this. The platform provides powerful tools for building engaging streaming apps, alongside an intuitive CMS experience that makes it easy for teams to manage their services, experiment with new features and act on performance insights to continuously improve the viewing experience.
The team leading Leyra
Leyra is led by a team with extensive experience across streaming technology and platform development.
At the helm is CEO Markus Hejdenberg, who has played a key role in shaping Leyra’s vision and bringing together the strengths of Magine Pro and Accedo One. He says, “We are focused on growing the products from technology platforms into one unified business enablement platform, empowering our customers to better grow and optimise their services as the market continues to evolve.
Streaming services today face a very different reality than they did just a few years ago. Competition is increasing, audience expectations are rising, and operators need to constantly improve how their services perform. Our goal with Leyra is to give them a platform that supports that journey. Not just helping them launch a service, but helping them continuously grow their service through refinement and optimisation. By bringing these technologies and teams together, we can give operators a stronger foundation to build on while keeping the flexibility they need to adapt as the market changes.”
The leadership team also includes Matthew Wilkinson, now Chief Commercial Officer at Leyra and previously CEO of Magine Pro. Matthew played a key role in building Magine Pro into a global OTT platform provider and will now lead Leyra’s commercial strategy, continuing to work closely with operators as they grow their streaming services. You can read Matthew’s comments on the launch of Leyra in our press release.
Together with the wider Leyra team, the leadership will guide the continued development of the platform and support customers as their services grow and develop.

We are excited to begin this journey and look forward to sharing more in the months ahead as Leyra continues to develop.
